LU9073 PCM Diagnostic Unit
The LU9073 is a generic PCM diagnostic unit which when fitted between a network interface and the user's equipment allows a network loop to be applied remotely. It is simple to fit and normally no internal options need changing The unit can be connected to a PCM network via either an RJ45 connector (120W) or a pair of BNC connectors (75W). On the Equipment side the same arrangement exists however the LU9073 does permit the equipment interface to be different from the Network interface The front panel Line indicator allow the user to identify that valid HDB3 data is being received. If Green, valid HDB3 signal are detected otherwise the LED is red. If BPVs (Bi-Polar Violations) are detected the indicator will flash Yellow for each violation detected. The Loop indicator will flash Yellow when the unit is currently in loopback mode The unit operates in a failsafe mode. Until the unit is placed into the loopback mode, the input and output path between the Network and Equipment is direct and unimpaired. Even if power is removed, the unit provides a direct connection between the two interfaces. When a loopback is initiated, the incoming Network signals are cleaned, regenerated, and sent out again. The equipment interface can be set to either monitor the incoming diagnostic information or ignore it. No equipment interface loopback option is available with this unit and no switches are provided to locally apply loops The LU9073 is primarily designed to be used in conjunction with the ET2148 tester which can both apply and remove loops as well generate and check test pattern data. This handheld device can display both bit errors and count Bi-Polar Violations that may be occurring LU9073 PCM Diagnostic Unit Specification For further information please contact us |
